Fajr award-winning 'Buffoon' has received screening permit.
Directed by Homayoun Ghanizadeh the film is slated to appear on the silver screen in autumn.
'Buffoon' was premiered at the 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival winning four awards.
The plot summary for cinematic debut ‘Buffoon’ reads, “Danesh is fond of cinema and in love with Homa, the city’s favorite actress. Mr. Kazem is fond of Casablanca and his business license. “
“Shapour is fond of tuna fish ... The city is filled with beggars and on the verge of an imminent earthquake. Also, every once in a while, a corpse of a woman with a shaved head is washed up on shore,” the synopsis adds.
Produced by Ali Mosaffa, the film boasts a string of award-winning stars on the cast list such as Ali Nasiriyan, Saber Abar, Babak Hamidiyan, Reza Kianian, and Hediyeh Tehrani.
